Notarized translation and apostille for a Korean academic transcript
Transcripts follow the same rule as graduation certificates: original academic records of national universities receive an apostille without notarization, while those from private universities and other schools are notarized before the apostille. Transcripts often run to several pages, so the translation quote is based on page count.
This page covers documents issued in Korea. For documents issued in another country, see our guide to documents issued abroad. →

What to confirm before requesting: Academic Transcript
| Item | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Bundling with the graduation certificate | Notarizing and certifying the graduation certificate and transcript from the same school together makes scheduling easier. |
| Pages and copies | Transcripts are often several pages long, so the scope of translation and notarization depends on page count. Check how many copies each receiving body needs. |
| Sealed or direct-sending requirements | Whether an evaluation body or university requires the school’s sealed envelope or direct sending by the school differs by receiving body. If required, we follow that procedure and do not open sealed documents. |
| Issuing school | Middle and high school transcripts (Ministry of Education) are eligible for online e-Apostille; university transcripts are applied for in person or by post using the original. Notarization: national university original = not needed / others = needed. |
