What Certification Does Your Document Need?
Choose your destination country and purpose, then select all the documents you have. You'll instantly see the expected certification path for each document and the full process.
In which country was the document issued (or signed)?
A document issued abroad is certified in the country that issued it. If that country is an Apostille Convention member, it issues the apostille; otherwise the document is notarized or certified by that country’s foreign ministry and then confirmed by the Korean embassy or consulate there. An apostille for a foreign document cannot be obtained in Korea.

Full Process
※ The results above are an estimated process based on the information you entered, and are reference information that may vary depending on the document and the requirements of the receiving institution. We'll confirm the exact procedure during a consultation.
Estimated Cost & Processing Time
Government fees, translation costs, notarization costs, and agency fees are all separate. The exact amount and timeline depend on the type and number of documents and the receiving institution, so we provide an individual quote after reviewing your documents. (We do not display arbitrary amounts or timelines.)
These Cases Especially Need Expert Consultation
- When the receiving institution requires a specific certification format
- When private documents (power of attorney, contracts, etc.) are involved
- When submitting to multiple countries at once
- When a country's Convention status has recently changed or is not yet in effect
When you go to the simple request, the result above is carried into the notes automatically. If private documents are mixed in, there are several receiving bodies, or the Convention status is uncertain, please use the exception review (our staff review first, then quote).
