Notarized translation and apostille for a Korean career certificate
A career certificate is a private document issued by a company, so it is notarized first and the notarized document then receives a Ministry of Justice apostille. It is a different document from a criminal record certificate, so do not confuse the two.
This page covers documents issued in Korea. For documents issued in another country, see our guide to documents issued abroad. →

What to confirm before requesting: Career Certificate
| Item | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Duties, period and title | Recognition of experience looks at your duties and period of work. First check that the entries suit the purpose of submission. |
| Issuing company | Notarization requires the signature of the representative (or an authorized person) and the company seal. |
| Consistency with other documents | If the period or title differs from your CV, contract or Certificate of Employment, the receiving body may ask for corrections. Its criteria are confirmed for each receiving body. |
| English notarization | An English career certificate is notarized as it is; a Korean one is translated and the translation notarized separately. |
